A gridded shower uses a grid pattern of metal framing dividing the glass into smaller panes — the industrial / loft / factory-window aesthetic the trade calls Crittall-style. It comes in three frame tiers. Steel-frame is the premium tier: true welded construction, structural, the most authentic Crittall result — B & L specs Euroline Steel Windows + Doors for steel-grid work. Aluminum-frame sits in the middle — same grid pattern at lighter weight and lower cost. Applied-grid is the entry tier — black-painted bars surface-applied to a single tempered panel, mimicking the look without true frame construction.
Standard glass is 3/8" tempered safety glass; 1/2" tempered runs on oversized panels and steel systems. Low-iron pulls the green tint out on larger panes. Grid density is a design call — 3-pane, 4-pane, 6-pane, 9-pane, or custom. Door configurations cover the range: hinged door with a fixed gridded panel, sliding gridded door, pivot gridded door, or a fully-fixed walk-in gridded panel with no door at all. Finishes run matte black (the dominant Crittall-aesthetic call), oil-rubbed bronze, antique brass, brushed bronze, polished steel, or paint matched to the architecture. CRL hardware carries the finish-matched hinges, handles, and channel.
A gridded shower starts with a templated on-site measure — a B & L glazier comes to your bathroom, verifies the opening to tight tolerance, and confirms grid pattern, frame tier, glass spec, and finish before fabrication begins. On steel systems, the welded frame is fabricated to the actual opening, not a nominal size, so plumb verification and structural blocking and bracing in the wall framing get verified per project. Aluminum and applied-grid systems install conventionally.
Lead time typically runs 6 to 10 weeks from approved measure to installed system on a custom Euroline steel-frame project; aluminum runs shorter, applied-grid shortest. Install lands at a full day for steel, half-day for aluminum and applied. The bathroom is back in service the same day; silicone needs a full cure cycle before the first shower. Care is light but finish-specific: squeegee after each shower, then a weekly wipe with a non-abrasive, pH-neutral cleaner (no ammonia, no abrasive pads) on matte black, oil-rubbed bronze, and brushed-bronze finishes. I have nothing but great things to say about the gentleman that came to do the work at my Father's house. Our sliding glass door was jammed, we called around and were told by every other place I called that they don't repair them. That I would need a new one. I got a quote from Anderson's to replace the entire sliding glass door and 5 windows (glass and frames) and boy was that ridiculous over $30k. I called B & L to replace the sliding glass door and a couple of windows that were very foggy they came out and measured and asked why I wanted to replace the sliding glass door when they could just fix it. The gentleman could have tried to upsell me to replace the glass on all my windows and sliding glass door but he didn't. In fact he saved me money by telling me they didn't replace sliding glass doors. I could have ended up going with another company and replaced the sliding glass door but he said don't do that we can fix it. They Arrived right at 8 when they gave me a window 8-9 for measurements. That is refreshing! When it came time for install the gentlemen again arrived on time, they were very professional and did great work. Fixing our sliding glass door was no easy task my father and I tried to fix it our self but was rather complicated! So glad we reached out to B & L!

Had a 3-sided neo-angle shower enclosure installed by B & L. Looked great except there was no door stop added. I didn't realize I needed one (they're optional) until a guest kept opening it inward, banging the door against the showerhead. This company is fantastic! We originally decided to call for a bid due to a broken garage window (it's baseball season). The representative that came out was friendly and helpful so we decided to ask about a cost to replace an ugly old yellow window as well. They listened to my ideas about what I wanted in place of the old window, and we decided to go ahead and replace it. When the day came for installation, the crew was on time and friendly. They told us they had allotted 4 hours for the job and they completed it in half that time. By the time they left I couldn't even tell they had been there except for the beautiful new windows. Everything was sparkling clean! We are so happy with our new window and glass replacement. I will absolutely call B & L for any future glass needs.
